We throw out 3 e-waste objects for every newborn

Every year, e-waste is increasing at an alarming rate. In 2019, the world generated 53 million metric tonnes of e-waste, equivalent to 350 of the world’s largest cruise ships. More than 80% of this e-waste was informally recycled or mismanaged, polluting the soil, air and water that children use and putting their health at risk. Our production and consumption habits must change. The mounting problem of e-waste is infringing on our children’s right to a clean, healthy, and sustainable environment.
