I’m Fionn Ferreira, a 23-year-old scientist and sustainability advocate driven to tackle plastic pollution. Growing up on Ireland’s coast, I saw plastic waste firsthand, sparking my mission to create change.
At 16, I developed a method using ferrofluids to remove microplastics from water, winning the 2019 Google Science Fair and gaining global recognition.
Through my company and foundation, I work to scale this innovation and inspire others.
My message to youth: start small but dream big. Together, we can clean our planet and turn hope into action.
