As a partner of the Children’s Environmental Health Collaborative, including the Partnership for Lead-Free Future, the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR) is committed to the following activities:
- Advocate for prioritizing children’s environmental health in key international forums, including through joint co-branded communication and advocacy products, when feasible.
- Contribute research on the specific impacts of the unsound management of chemicals and waste on children’s health, and on how to protect children from these impacts.
- Provide analytical support and technical assistance to governments on children’s environmental health, when feasible.
- Participate in joint convenings and promote coherent approaches to protecting children environmental health.
