Pregnant workers are also more likely to become dehydrated which is a primary contributor to heat-related illness. This flyer provides helpful information on why pregnant women are more vulnerable while working outdoors, warning signs to recognize, and what actions to take to lower risks and address symptoms. For American residents, it also provides a summary of federal laws in place to protect workers.
