Cuento Desechada: Throw it Away

Daniela Macaya, as a  17-year-old during the COVID-19 quarantine, wrote and illustrated Throw It Away to sound the alarm on the hidden dangers of single-use plastics and inspire children that anyone—no matter their age or physical boundaries—can take meaningful action for the environment. Most recently, the book was adapted into an animated video and showcased at the UN stand during the High-Level Event on Ocean Action: “Immersed in Change”, in Costa Rica, in June 2024.
