This training from U.S. CDC is designed to fill the gap in knowledge regarding the hazards of lead and provide lead programme implementation suggestions based on best practices. The training consists of two modules.

Module 1: Foundations of Lead Exposure presents four video-recorded segments to introduce lead as a public health problem and provide an overview of lead prevention program expectations, suitable for new public health personnel and refreshers for existing staff members.

Module 2: Strategic Planning and Implementation of the Four Key Strategies of a Lead Prevention Program and Evaluating its Impact presents five video segments showing the fundamental expectations for CDC’s programmatic strategies for jurisdictional lead programs: testing and reporting, surveillance, linkage to services, targeted population-based interventions, and includes a segment on program evaluation.
