United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP)

As a founding partner, the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is committed to protecting children from the impacts of air pollution and lead. They commit to the following activities. 

  1. Advocate for prioritizing children’s environmental health in key international forums, including through joint co-branded communication and advocacy products, when feasible.
  2. Contribute research on the specific impacts of climate change and environmental degradation on children’s
    health and sharing guidance, tools and best-practices to protect children from these impacts, with a particular
    focus initially on air pollution and lead.
  3. Provide technical assistance, expertise and technical resources on children’s environmental health.
  4. Participate in joint convenings and promote coherent approaches to protecting children's environmental health.
