As a partner, Yale Center on Climate Change and Health is committed to protecting children’s health and development from the impacts of climate change and environmental degradation.
As part of their contribution to the Collaborative, they commit to the following activities:
- Emphasize the importance of climate mitigation and adaptation to protect children’s environmental health throughout the center’s work on research, education, policy and practice, and health care environmental sustainability.
- Advocate for prioritizing children’s environmental health in key international forums, including through joint co-branded communication and advocacy products, when feasible.
- Contribute innovative and rigorous research on the specific impacts of climate change on children’s health, and disseminate research results to inform action.
- Share guidance, tools, and best-practices to protect children from climate risks.
- Provide technical assistance, expertise, and technical resources on climate change and children’s health.
- Participate in joint convenings and promote coherent approaches to protecting children’s environmental health.
