As a partner, the Health Environment Management Agency (VIHEMA) in the Ministry of Health in Viet Nam is committed to protecting children’s health and development from the impacts of climate change and environmental degradation.
As part of their contribution to the Collaborative, they commit to the following activities:
- Contribute research on the specific impacts of climate change and environmental degradation on children’s health and sharing guidance, tools and best-practices to protect children from these impacts.
- Develop and disseminate national policies, strategies, regulations and guidances on children’s environmental health, school health, drowning and injury prevention and other issues related to children health protection.
- Advocate for prioritizing children’s environmental health in key international and domestic forums, including through joint co-branded communication and advocacy products, when feasible.
- Provide technical assistance, expertise and technical resources on children’s environmental health.
- Participate in joint convenings and promote coherent approaches to protecting children's environmental health.
